I'll update once a week or more, depending on my schedule. the content can be anything related to food, recipes, some random food I found or information about food.
so let's get started on the first week; in Japan there is a magical thing called 'Pocky'. It basically is a pretzel stick with chocolate on it, but the thing is, this pretzel stick is everything but basic! there are countless flavours of Pocky in Japan, and it is my personal challenge to try them all, or at least as many as possible. now, there is also the Kitkat challenge, which I'm defenitely doing someday too, but I want to focus on the Pocky first.
So last week I went to a sweets shop with my friend and found 3 flavours of Pocky that were new to me, so of course I had to buy them, luckily they were really chep (about 98 yen per package) I bought:
-Pocky Tropical Mango & Pineapple
- Pocky Coconut Chocolate
- Pocky Pie (or something) with dark chocolate
And this weekend I went to Nagano to climb a mountain and there I found regional Giant Pocky! it's called Pocky Shinshu Kyoho, and they're really big! and I found the Pocky Panda cookie & cream I wanted to try for a long time at the 100 Yen store!
so over the next weeks I'll be reviewing these flavours, and being all healthy I'll try not to eat them all at once :)
Pocky Tropical Mango & Pineapple
The moment you open the package a fruity smell comes your way, it reminds me a bit of vitamin Juice. the color of the chocolate is almost the same as the pretzel stick, a light orange color. You can taste the mango really well but the pineapple flavour (I love pineapple) is really weak, what a shame. this flavour doesn't do much for me, partially because I'm not a big fan op tropical fruit mixes. it's not bad, but certainly not the best either!
